Group fundraiser for Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust

David Moore is raising money for Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust

Black Rat Cyclosportive, Chepstow · 17 May 2026

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

On the 17th May, Adam Murphy, Dave "Bogie" Knight, Dez Nicholas and Dave Moore, will be taking part in the Black Rat Cyclosportive, Chepstow! This is a 64 mile cycle ride through Monmouthshire, with 1932m (6339ft) of climbing. We all work or have worked at the Milford Haven Refinery site, now Impala.

This year we hope to raise much needed funds for the Wales Air Ambulance. Bogie and our close friend, Rob Richards, have both had rides in one of their helicopters, so we know first hand, the vital work they do.

Fast response times, doctors and paramedics on board, coupled with rapid transport times to hospitals, means this service is LIFE SAVING!

But it's not funded by local or national government. So that's where we come in, to ensure we give everyone a chance, in an emergency.

Please give what you can, every penny counts.

Thank you very much!

Adam, Bogie, Dez, Dave
