80 Named Peaks Challenge

We provide high quality palliative and end of life care to people in their own homes and local communities across West Cumbria. We also offer emotional support, complementary therapies and specialist lymphoedema care. All our services are delivered free of charge to those who need them.

Story

David Powell-Thompson is taking part in a walking challenge in memory of his beautiful wife, Margaret. He accepted a challenge from one of his friends a few months younger than him and the challenge is to walk 80 named peaks which are listed on Ordinance Survey maps, before his 80th birthday on Monday 3rd August 2026.

He would like to raise money for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, to thank them for all of the care and support he and Maggie have received. You can support David's challenge by the sponsor forms in The Strands Hotel, Nether Wasdale and Lutwidge Arms, Holmrook, or on Just Giving.

Thank you very much for your support.
