Story

Hi folks, we did it!

We achieved our objective of doing an iron man team triathlon on the 9th of November 2023 at Nuffield Gym. Many thanks to all our supporters and the generous donations given which meant we far exceeded our target.

A big thank you to Penny and Tania and all the team at Nottingham Nuffield Gym for making it possible.

Thank you from all the Prostate Gym Buddies.

The Prostate Gym Buddies are a group of guys who have all been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We met through a research programme on the effects of exercise helping with the side effects of hormone therapy treatment. We all found that regular exercise and having others to talk to about the condition and its side effects really helped us to stay positive.

We also all agreed that we would like to give something back to the hospital for our excellent care and treatment and as we all met at the Nuffield Gym it seemed appropriate that we undertake a challenge there and so the prostate gym buddies triathlon came about.

We would like to raise funds for Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
