I started to cycle as many did during lock down, and did my first charity ride within five months of getting my bike, Venice to Lake Como, it nearly killed me, but gave me an appetite to do it again.

Later this year we are cycling from France into Spain over the Pyrenees, Carcassonne to Barcelona, at the ripe old age of 64, this one might kill me. :-)

The challenge for this ride is not so much the 300mile distance but the mountain after mountain climbs and decents!

It would be very nice to give something back to young people less fortunate than me on the start of their journey through life. This money would support these wonderful people who can make a difference and give hope in cruel world.

Youth Talk’s mission is to provide the best, possible mental health support to young people in St Albans and the surrounding areas. It's important for there to be a safe, trustworthy, calm and professional environment for young people to feel comfortable in and share whatever is on their mind, Youth Talk can offer this.
