Story
Pancreatic cancer is very common and sadly the outcomes are still very poor. The diagnosis is often made very late and treatment options are too limited.
My Mum, Elizabeth, died in her early 40s from pancreatic cancer, it was the day before my 18th birthday and she also left 2 other boys in their teens. Sadly, in 2023, my wife Lisa also passed away, from a rare cancer which is also often found in the pancreas.
There is more than hope - the amazing team at Pancreatic Cancer UK make a difference in so many ways. Funding international clinical research to find ways to diagnose earlier and develop better treatments. Helping people with pancreatic cancer and their families with a team of specialist nurses and other support staff. Developing treatment standards and challenging the government and NHS to go further and faster.
I'm trying to help too - I have the privilege of being Chair of the Trustees at PCUK. Inspired by the team and all of their incredible work, I have decided to run the London Marathon, alongside my brother, Jon.
Please donate, it will make a difference, I promise.
