David Sloan sadly suffered a Stroke in January 2025, and due to the nature of the bleed he incurred on the brain, he unfortunately passed a few short days later. He will sorely be missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

The family asks that rather than flowers, please support the Stroke Unit at Basildon Hospital with any donations. If Dave had recovered from his Stroke, this was where he would have spent his first part of recovery. Donations will make a valuable difference to the lives of patients and staff at the hospital, so if you can spare anything, please donate in memory of Dave. He would be proud to know his passing could possibly help others in their Stroke recovery journey.
