The charity was set up by Dr Joseph Sunray who comes from an Dalit (outcaste) background in the impoverished village of Turukanadoni in Karnarkata state of India. He shared a dream of setting up a primary school for Dalit children to attend in his home village with my friend the Rev Gill Evans they set up the charity, raised money and opened the first class room for pre school children in 2002. They bought land and gradually built a school in 2009 with 180 pupils attending.The children have flourished with pupils going on to become teachers, nurses and engineers.

Financing of the school has been dependent on the generous contributions from supporters. Costs of running the school has inevitably gone up.

Any donation large or small will be gratefully received to enable the school to continue with its mission to educate dalit to educate outcaste children and offer them a better and more fulfulling future.
