Guys, May 27th is the date that Hooked For Heroes Ambassador Dave Watson suffered life changing injuries. I suppose he's had better days than the day he lost both legs, an arm and died a couple or so times, However, Dave celebrates this day every year and he calls it "Boom Day", many of his friends comment on his profile "Happy Boom Day Dave" etc.

To help Dave celebrate, (and raise money for Help For Heroes) we decided to try something that was suggested to me, whether it works or not is up to you.

Hooked For Heroes has 7,982 Facebook followers, The idea is simple, "what if we ask all the followers to send £1 each on Boom Day".

£1 per person doesn't sound a lot,,,,, well it isn't really is it.

If we could get everyone to send a quid, that would raise £7,982 alone, never mind what the matches raise (which is anywhere between 6 and 8 grand a year.) and would make a whopping difference to the fundraising and also a bigger difference to our servicemen and women. It would make this year the Hooked For Heroes record fundraising year. Whether you take part in the matches, don't fish but follow the page, or you know me, you can all help.

So it's over to you, May 27th isn't far off, I'll be plugging this in a big way.
