We are fundraising in memory of a much-loved friend and colleague, Marie-Claire Kerr (MC), who recently passed away. MC meant a great deal to many of us — she was kind, supportive, and someone who brought people together. She was also a strong advocate for the incredible work done by Marie Curie nurses, who provide vital care and compassion to people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.

In honour of MC, a group of us have decided to take part in The Kiltwalk to raise funds for Marie Curie — a charity that reflects the values of care and support that meant so much to her.

The Kiltwalk is a unique fundraising event held across Scotland, bringing people together to raise money for causes close to their hearts while promoting health and wellbeing. Even better, all funds raised receive a top-up of up to 50% thanks to The Hunter Foundation, helping every donation go further.

Team “MC’s Hammers” will be walking Glasgow’s Big Stroll, leaving Clydebank at 10:30am on Saturday 25th April 2026.

Walk with MC’s Hammers at the Glasgow Kiltwalk— or at any other Kiltwalk event! When registering for your Kiltwalk, simply select MC’s Hammers as your team name and choose Marie Curie as your charity. You can register here: https://www.thekiltwalk.co.uk/events
