Story
It's official, I’m running the 2026 London Marathon. Yep. 26.2 miles. On purpose. I’ll be running along side my "siblings" Ted and Kezia — because if we’re going to suffer, we’re going to suffer together.
We’re running to support Scope UK, a fantastic charity working toward a society where disabled people have equal opportunities. Everyone deserves the chance to live life without unnecessary barriers, especially the invisible.
Through my work and volunteer experiences with kids, I’ve seen how important it is that children with additional needs feel included, supported, and truly understood. Inclusion isn’t just a nice idea, its essential.
There are 16 million disabled people in the UK — that’s one in four — and 11% of children have disabilities, including 1.7 million with special educational needs (SEN). Those aren’t just big numbers — they’re real people who deserve the same opportunities the rest of us take for granted.
So here’s the deal: I’ll do the training and marathon part, if you help by donating to Scope. Every single contribution, big or small, goes directly to making a real impact. Plus, it gives me another reason to not quit halfway through training and go sit in the pub instead.
Your support means the world and might just get me across that finish line.
Let’s do this!!! 🏃♂️💪 (Please send snacks.)
