I am taking part in this walk to thank and, in a small way, support the staff at MRI Renal and Transplant departments.

Paula is now coming up to 3 years post transplant on the 16th June, and I am the same length of time post donation.

The team at MRI have given us wonderful support through the Low Clearance Clinic, Transplantation/Donation work up and post transplant/donation support.

Thank you also to the altruistic donor and the other donors and recipients in the "chain" who made this transplant possible.

KIDNEYS FOR LIFE

A large number of the population have chronic kidney disease and can develop kidney failure needing dialysis or a kidney transplant. We raise funds for research into kidney disease, transplantation and dialysis and amenities for renal patients at MRI, NCA, Preston Hospital, Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital and the satellite dialysis units.

We are very grateful for all the support that we have and work hard to help renal patients now and in the future.
