Story
Hi, Me and Lesley are running the Warrington Half Marathon at the end of September 2023 in memory of her mum Brenda who we lost to Vascular Dementia and other illness and to celebrate her life what better way than raise money for Alzheimers Society and their fantastic work. Even though we have set a low target we are looking to raise as much as we can to help continue their work and help of others.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.
Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. As a Society, and with the help of our supporters, we’re changing that.
With your help we can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.
1 in 3 lives will be devastated by dementia in the future. Will you vow to fund life-changing dementia support and research?
