Rasheed was a client at Refugee Resource and used our social inclusion support to move forward with his life in the UK. This is his story:

When I first came to Refugee Resource I was claiming asylum. I was new in Oxford and I came to Refugee Resource with my friend. You made us feel welcome and provided refreshments, and we got a lot of support. Both of us did an IT course, which Refugee Resource paid for, and we both got a level 2 qualification.

I remember I couldn’t afford to buy a laptop and when I went to college Refugee Resource bought me one so I could do my course. I didn’t have a lot of equipment and you helped with that.

To be honest it changed my life. Now I'm a mental health professional. I want to continue doing this work in future and I might work overseas for a big organisation like the United Nations to help with refugees’ mental health.

It is very important for people to give to Refugee Resource. Refugee Resource does an excellent job of helping.
