Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Recently our Granddaughter Emma at the tender age of four was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This will be with her for the rest of her life, at this very young age she has handled all the changes needed to be made to her daily life with great courage and taken it all in her stride.

To help in the research to help other children, I am fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). By Walking 400,000 steps in 40 days, commencing on 6th October and finishing on 14th November which is World Diabetes Awareness Day, I am hoping to raise £250 towards this cause. Every step I take will not only be a step to my goal but a symbol of hope, resilience and determination of all those affected by type 1 diabetes.

I invite you to join me on this journey whether by your support or donations to my Just Giving Page, or just reading more about the vital work of JDRF. Together we can make a difference! Thank You.
