🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ New Forest Marathon 2026 for Maggie’s 🌳

This year I have made the crazy decision to dust off my running shoes after a decade, and sign up for the New Forest half marathon.

I'll be running to raise vital funds for the incredible work of Maggie’s.

Maggie’s provides free support to people living with cancer, as well as their families and friends. Their centres offer a warm, welcoming space for anyone affected by cancer to talk, learn, or simply breathe. They deliver expert advice, emotional comfort, and a true sense of community – all at no cost to those who walk through their doors.

Julie and I have been two of those people who have had to walk through their doors this year, and I can honestly say being able to go there has been such a positive experience in an otherwise difficult 2026.

So I am now back in training for a 13 mile course in a months time, discovering all the joys of taking up running again after so long. Have to say I really don't remember all this joint pain when I was doing this in my 30's! Just as well its for such a fantastic cause.
