Westy fundraiser for Doncaster Royal Infirmary Neonatal Unit

It is my intention to undertake the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Friday 20th September 2024.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.
12 hours is considered a great time
I'm going to be 2 days shy of 57 years of age when I start this.
I rate this as the daftest thing I've done whilst I have had the privilege of being on this planet
As most of you will know I have some some daft shit !!!
Here are the reasons why I am going to do this.
My eldest daughter was born premature over 30 years ago at DRI. She is now a Nurse on the Neonatal Unit.
My youngest was born premature and spent 12 days in the Neonatal Unit. She is now a Primary school teacher.
We are blessed and grateful for the NHS and especially the Neonatal Unit.
The hardworking team of nurses and staff are seeking to raise funds for their Mini Marvels Future Appeal to create better facilities for the families and their babies in difficult , worrying and scary times.
The funds raised will go towards updating the parent bedrooms and the family rooms where the siblings can go to play.
There is also a need to create a space where parents and siblings can take time away and be able to grieve. A bereavement room for those families who sadly lose their most precious treasure.
As a father, a Dad , a parent who has been deeply touched and so fully aware of the wonderful efforts this committed group do. Please give what you can.
Don't forget the GIFT AID part. Tax paid is given back by the Government!
Cheers
Westy
