What are we doing?
A European road trip... Something both me and Rae have wanted to do for as long as we can remember. Taking a £800.00 - 20 year old car fit for a scrap yard over 2500 miles from God's Own County of Yorkshire to Denmark the land of the Vikings, Lego and spectacular architecture.
Who are we doing it for?
Andy's Man Club is a charity focused on male mental health and suicide prevention. Originally set up in Halifax, West Yorkshire. The charity has made a massive impact and groups have spread across Yorkshire and beyond helping thousands of fathers, brothers and sons when they have needed it.
Everyone has been effected in some way by mental health issues but blokes are notorious for bottling this up. If we tell one man about this charity and that helps that person get through their battle, we will be have achieved our goal.
We will see as many countries on the route as we can and raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause. For your local group details or further information see - https://andysmanclub.co.uk
What are we doing it in?
A surprisingly spacious, 2004 Suzuki Wagon R+. 1300cc's of pure driving pleasure. Fairly safe to say this car was not designed to cross continents but we have grown to love the little motor. A few tasteful modifications later and we pretty much ready to go!
The trip will commence Wednesday 20th September 2023, embarking from Kent and returning to the UK on the 26th. Covering at least 5 countries (but we have our eyes set on a couple more) before returning to Yorkshire.
