Wow… where to begin!! We were devastated at the end of January 2024 to learn that my inspirational, loving, caring Mum had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease for which there is currently no cure. Sadly, on the 15th April 2025, Mum lost that battle.

Over the last year as many of you will know I’ve been trying to raise some crucial funds for this charity who have helped us enormously throughout Mum’s illness. The challenges that I have undertaken so far are the Derby Ramathon in June 2024, the National 3 Peaks in July 2024, the Great North Run in September 2024 with Claire (my wife) and Dorothy (my mother-in-law) and the London Marathon in April 2025.

I also arranged a ‘Race Night’ fundraiser that took place on 4th May 2024 in Hilton raising over £2k on the night alone. I am looking forward to arranging further events and taking on other challenges going forwards.
