Story
The Challenge
On Wednesday 9th July at 11am, I’ll be taking on the thrilling challenge of abseiling 289ft (88 metres) down the iconic Lloyd’s of London building—one of the most daring charity events in the City. It’s a huge personal challenge, but an incredible opportunity to raise money for three amazing charities close to my heart.
Why I’m Doing This
I’ve chosen to split my fundraising between The Furniture Makers' Company, The Upholders, and Fine Cell Work—all of which do vital work in their fields.
- The Furniture Makers' Company – The furnishing industry’s charity, supporting craftspeople, education, and those in need.
- The Upholders – A historic livery charity preserving upholstery craftsmanship and heritage skills.
- Fine Cell Work – Empowering prisoners through needlework, fostering rehabilitation and hope.
My £5,000 Target
I’ve set an ambitious goal of raising £5,000, split 40/40/20 between the charities. Every pound donated will make a real difference—whether it’s helping craftspeople in crisis, preserving traditional skills, or giving prisoners a brighter future.
How You Can Help
Donate – Any amount, big or small, brings me closer to my target.
Share – Spread the word on social media, email, or at work—the more people who see this, the better!
Thank You!
I’m incredibly grateful for your support. Abseiling down Lloyd’s is way outside my comfort zone, but knowing I’m doing it for such worthy causes makes it all worthwhile. Together, we can make a real impact—let’s smash this £5,000 target!
