Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running The Chiltern 50km Ultra Challenge on 26 September 2026, 3 months before my 50th birthday. Hence the title 50 before 50.

I am running to raise awareness and money for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity.

In May this year, the hospital, and their amazing staff, looked after my daughter when she had scoliosis surgery to straighten her spine. She spent hours in surgery, a week in the hospital and will now spend the rest of the year recovering.

All I have to do is try and run 50km in the beautiful Chiltern Hills

And hopefully all you have to do is sponsor me knowing that you will be helping other children to have a positive experience in hospital and in recovery from their spinal surgery.

NB I have already paid the full entry price myself, so 100% of your donation and gift aid will be going to support the charity.

The picture in the page cover shows the before and after X rays. They still blow my mind every time I look at them.
