David Lloyd Cardiff have nominated Bronwen's W;sh as one of our charities to champion and support this year. Bronwen’s W;sh is a Charity in memory of Bronwen Morgan, who passed away in August 2020 by suicide. Bronwen was a 26-year-old Mental Health Nursing student in her second year of studying at Cardiff University - in addition to her first-class honour’s degree in Primary Education which she graduated in 2015. Bronwen was a bright, beautiful person with the kindest and most caring soul. This is a very special charity to many members at Cardiff, as Bronwen was a much loved member of the club, regularly attending a variety of group exercise classes and events.

Bronwen’s family and friends wanted a legacy for Bronwen, something to remember her by, that aligns with Bronwen as a person and her passion and strive for change. Bronwen was always passionate about people and helping people. Particularly young people. Even in her darkest days, if someone needed help, Bronwen would be there. Bronwen's family and friends wanted to honour Bronwen with a Charity in her name, that supports children and young people by giving them a place to feel calm, supported, and safe. Bronwen's W;sh has been set up to provide Wellbeing Dens or Pods within schools. These unique pods will be used solely for mindfulness, wellbeing, and mental health welfare when a child is suffering from anxiety, crisis or being off baseline when in school.
