Story
In 2026 I will be running the Berlin Marathon, with the aim of raising over €2,500 and running under 2 hours 50 minutes!
Cancer has touched everyone in some way and in my case I am especially running in memory of my cousin Daragh. I hope to raise funds for such a worthy cause that I know has been a huge help to his young family.
Every donation is massively appreciated, and I know I wouldn't be able to do this without the support of friends and family, so thank you!
Feel free to follow my on journey on Strava, my socials, or my site https://davidmcgurrin.ie/berlin/.
From the Irish Cancer Society:
This year alone, an estimated 44,000 people received a cancer diagnosis in Ireland. That's 120 people every day and 5 people every hour hearing the words "you have cancer" throughout the country.
With sufficient priority and investment, we believe in a future when no one dies of cancer. Our mission at the Irish Cancer Society is to help bring that day forward, thanks to the support of people like you.
By taking part in the Berlin Marathon, you are helping to fund life-changing cancer research and provide vital support services to patients and their loved ones in communities across Ireland. Our work couldn't be possible without you, so thank you.
