I am taking part in this cycle ride as part of a small Curriers' Company team, who will be riding alongside the Leather & Hide Trades Benevolent Institution (LHTBI) team and fundraising for that old established charity as well as Parkinson's UK, in memory of my darling late wife Vivienne, who survived 26 years with Parkinson's before she finally succumbed in February 2023. She did an amazing thing by donating her brain tissue to the Parkinson's UK Brain Bank to be used to further research into a cure for this awful disease. I'm following her example by asking supporters to dig deep and sponsor me on my ride (that will be certainly be a challenge for a 76 year old!) I am sorry this is all a bit cumbersome but my two charities are only registered on one of these two separate fundraising platforms.
