One newspaper once said "the worlds most unlikely marathon runner" another quoted "marathon man runs 260 miles in to nearest pub" so I am not your typical marathon runner.

I have done various challengers over the years, first off 12 marathons in 6 months then 10 marathons in 10 days running from Yeovil Town FC to Huddersfield Town FC the Huddersfield to Wembley another 7 marathons in 7 days. But this was all 10 years ago plus and after my last marathon in covid I uttered the word "Never Again" but as the famous Sean Connery once said "Never Say Never Again"

So why again ? Probably down to 3 people, I watched and I teared up when I saw Kevin Sinfield (should Sir Kevin by the way) pick Rob Burrows up and carry over the finish line at a marathon. Tell me that didn't get to you ?

The 3rd person is Sean Jarvis, Sean found out that the former Huddersfield Town Striker Marcus Stewart has MND, Sean was one of around 250 Huddersfield Town fans that used to do the pedal for pounds bike rounds a few years ago and like many Sean had retired from these challengers.

Or so we thought.................

A few months ago Sean said to me "I am thinking of doing one final challenge for MND" and "did I want to be involved" there was no thinking, just "yes what we doing ?"

So on on Monday the 15th of June 2026 me and Alan "Booby" Boothroyd will set off from Ipswich Town FC doing 26.2 miles a day for 7 days.

MND doesn't need an introduction, its simply an awful disease so anything we can do to try and help people with it or research to help eradicate then I am happy to help. Yes its known to affect sports people but it affects anyone.

So here we are again and this will be the last time.

Anything you can donate would be fantastic.
