Story

After being diagnosed with brain and lung cancer in March 2023 out of the blue, David - known by many as Dave - lost his battle with this incredibly cruel disease on 5 January 2024. He was surrounded by his family, with his wife, Alison, by his side, in the place he loved the most - home.

Aged 72, David was a family man through and through - beloved husband to Alison, adored father to James, Claire-Louise and Andrew, cherished father-in-law to Susan, Paul and Hatti, proud 'Granch' to Theo, Eli, Martha, Charlotte, Grace and Olivia, and dear brother to John, Brian and Alan.

David truly was one of the good ones, described by many as a 'legend'. He was a talented sportsman, avid Spurs supporter and passionate Welshman - born in the Valleys - who was proud of his Greek heritage.

During his illness, David was cared for by many different medical teams, including Marie Curie; Macmillan; GPs, nurses and the wonderful Community Resource Team at Cardigan Integrated Care Centre - all of whom Alison and family would like to thank.

We would be extremely grateful for any donations to Cardigan Cancer Care, a charity set up to provide support and assistance to anyone in the local community who is suffering from this dreadful disease, as David sadly did.
