Story
On Saturday 12th September I will be walking the seven churches of our Nar Valley, a pilgrimage to these historically significant and important medieval structures (plus three Priory ruins) amounting to around 28km in 5 hours.
I'd be so grateful for any form of donation, howevery tiny. £1/£5/£10 donations is all i'm expecting. I know this is a very specific charity so understand it's not for everyone.
St. George's, South Acre, the wonderful church I look after… Last summer the roof was vandalised. We finally have a new roof AND a new dent in our finances. It's a constant battle not to mention the longest list of repairs sited in our latest quinquennial report. The Norfolk Churches Trust have been hugely supportive so it's now time to give something back. Our beautiful church 'a hidden gem' is extraordinarily special, highlights include a Knight Templar effigy, the Barkham mausoleum, the Harsyke Brasses, a Norman font, a Medieval Rood screen, a Hammerbeam roof, animal carved bench ends, all extensively documented by Pevsner.
