In the past 21 years, over 21,000 people with epilepsy have died suddenly and died too young. SUDEP Action’s Prevent21 campaign shines a light on this shocking disaster. With a significant change of attitude, culture, and action towards epilepsy - many lives CAN be saved. Knowledge saves lives.

Story

June 2023, one of my clients and beloved friend passed away suddenly from epilepsy. He was such a ray of sunshine, always so happy & positive and cared a great deal for everyone. He would always ask me to do an event such as a marathon/ half but I always replied with "I'm not a runner or an endurance athlete". A year on and I still miss him a great deal and I wanted to do an event to honour him as well as raise money for people who suffer from epilepsy. My client, Scott, and I will be running the Scottish Half in August to do just that. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

A bit about SUDEP:

Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives, epilepsy is one of the top-ten causes of early death. At SUDEP Action, we focus our efforts on providing tools to help keep people safe and on the priorities that bereaved families tell us are important: To prevent deaths; To be supported; To be involved.

We have won national and international honours for our achievements to date, but we recognise there is much more work to do, and this is why we need your donations. With your help we can strive to make a difference.
