Story
🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️ Three People. One Challenge. One Amazing Cause. ❤️
I never imagined when I started running last year for the Great North Run that I’d still be doing it now! 🏃♀️😂
I’m definitely not a natural runner, some days it honestly feels like it’s going to kill me! 🤣 But I’ve carried on, and along the way I’ve met some truly tremendous people who have supported and encouraged me more than they probably realise. ❤️
This year, I’m running the Great North Run again, but this time there’s a very special reason behind every mile.
I’m running along with my Sister Rachel Spencer and Ian Harvey,to raise awareness and funds for the Congo Children’s Trust, a charity very close to all our hearts. It was set up by my very dear friend and someone I think of as family, Ian Harvey, to support the incredible work of Kimbilio, the Congolese project he also set up in Lubumbashi.
The work Ian and the team do is truly amazing — from a day centre for street children and four homes for former street children, to primary and secondary schools and a hairdressing and beauty training programme for teenage mums who have previously lived on the streets. ❤️
I want to do everything I can to help Ian and the team raise as much money and awareness as possible for this incredible work.
So, if you can spare anything at all, big or small, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation can help make a real difference to a child’s life. ❤️

And if you see me struggling around the Great North Run… just remember, I’m doing it for a very good reason! 😂🏃♀️
Thank you so much for your support, it means a lot ❤️
