FROM 2 LEGS TO 2 WHEELS I'M OFF AGAIN!

Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge
AND.... just like that here I go again. After a HUGE wake up call last April, when my mental age took a nasty shock and had to rapidly catch up with my physical age with my body struggling to repair itself after a work accident.
My confidence shattered feeling incredibly low and unsupported and in pain, I resigned from work and spent most of 2023 healing, mentally and physically but I knew deep down my MEGA endurance days were over so have decided to take to 2 wheels instead of 2 legs!!! as my passion for experiencing the world around me and doing all I can to help keep our children happy and safe is still alive and well .
So what is this challenge?
Cycling from Ho Chi Min City (Saigon) Vietnam to the Temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia thats what!
Cycling for around 6-8 hours per day, covering approximately 450kms over 7 days. - Battling the heat and humidity. Temperatures can reach well into the 30s with an average humidity of 90%. - Cycling across waterways, plantations and on unpaved and dusty roads.
The cycling route is very exposed, with almost no shade, and on sunny days the temperatures soar.
Vietnam and Cambodia still have a high number of unexploded land mines being found every day. So (hopefully) we'll stick to well-trodden paths lol
I'll be organising several fundraising events to support this fundraiser from a Summer Tea party, Abseiling the cliffs at Peacehaven, to (hopefully) celebrating my return from the challenge with a pre-Christmas family fun run that I'm calling 'Elfin around'. So please keep an eye on my facebook fundrasing page

In the meantime please send any spare pennies or pounds my way to get this fundraiser started.
As always your support, whether this is your first time or you're a repeat offender, is gratefully appreciated by me and all the children we can help.
The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse
That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
