My Dad was an absolute adventurer and lived life to the full and had a constant thirst to learn new things. A keen runner and thrill seeker (including celebrating a milestone birthday in retirement with a huge water slide experience!), a lover of nature including his garden and allotment and most of all a devoted Dad and Grandad. I needed a big challenge to mark his memory and trekking the Great Wall of China is definitely big - there are a lot of steps to climb! Dad spent his last days at the Hospice and the staff were absolutely wonderful. He found peace as soon as he arrived at the Hospice and the support they provided to Dad and his loved ones will never be forgotten.
