I'm raising £2,500 to go towards the maintenance, modification and upkeep of Guhyaloka, Triratna's retreat center in Spain.

This is a very special place as it is where men are ordained during a three month retreat.

Some of the buildings are showing their age and others are simply no longer fit for purpose - they badly need modernising and preparing for the increase in demand, as Triratna grows.

I will be prostrating up Mam Tor in the Peak District on 8th September. I did this same thing last year in order to raise money for the new Triratana women's retreat center. The weather was somewhat biblical!! I hope for a dry day this year.

Originally inspired by two young girls in Ladakh who undertook a three day prostration practice, up a mountain to a monastery, for the benefit of all beings.

Guhyaloka has been the Triratna Buddhist Order's primary place for men's ordination since 1987.

It has been vitally important in helping to shape what our community offers the world today.

But to continue to thrive, it needs financial support.

In the autumn of 2025, we’ll enter the most critical phase of the project – building a new Kitchen/Dining block. To do this, we will need to raise £300,000 of our overall total before the end of 2026. All donations received within that timeframe will fund the structural work and the essential items listed below. Could you help us to buy them?
