To begin, the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is a medical institution in Pakistan that aims to provide affordable treatment for cancer. Founded by former prime minister Imran Khan, it has two locations in Peshawar and Lahore, with a third one in construction at Karachi. As a Pakistani Canadian Muslim, I feel a strong connection to the work of Imran Khan and carry a strong motivation to support his cause. I raise money so that I can contribute, however small or big, to the welfare of the Pakistani people and facilitate cancer treatment for the lower classes. Having lived in my home city Peshawar for almost a year, I have personally seen the poverty and desperation of the poor people and their difficulty to afford basic services and needs.

It is worth noting that 75% of cancer patients are in need of financial support in order to access cancer treatment. This means that your donations will make cancer treatment free for three quarters of all patients!

This is why I raise money for Shaukat Khanum! Please know that any contribution you make is valuable, as it will go towards the betterment of many people's lives.
