World Ocean Day was June 8th and in connection with our annual ocean sales meeting in Charleston, we chose to support a local project to engage and give back.

Please meet Mozzarella https://scaquarium.org/Mozzarella/, a juvenile green sea turtle found floating and unable to dive in Folly Creek, who is grateful to have the DB SCHENKER community as guardians and you can be part of that.

Mozzarella was reported stranded and was transported to the Sea Turtle Care Center™ for treatment. Though he was in decent body condition, it was discovered that he has a severe case of pneumonia. Mozzarella was placed on multiple antibiotics and is on a schedule to monitor changes in his lungs through diagnostic imaging. After 4 weeks at the Sea Turtle Care Center™ his pneumonia has not improved, so he needs to continue to receive antibiotics.

DB SCHENKER will become a guardian for Mozzarella until he can hopefully be released back into the Ocean.

Every stage of the turtles’ journey, from the moment they arrive at the hospital to the moment they return to the ocean, would not be possible without the support of many, including you. The preservation of these charismatic animals is critical to the health of the marine ecosystem.
