In June 2026, devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela, placing enormous pressure on hospitals, emergency responders and vulnerable communities.
Thousands of families were displaced, healthcare facilities became overwhelmed, and many people lost access to essential medical services, clean water and basic supplies.
For more than 35 years, we at DDC have helped healthcare providers create safer environments through innovative infection prevention and patient care solutions.
This is why we are supporting Healing Venezuela, an award-winning UK registered charity (Charity No. 1170709), also registered in the USA and France, which has spent the last decade strengthening Venezuela's public healthcare system and supporting over 2 million people through high-impact healthcare programmes.

Unlike many organisations, Healing Venezuela already had trusted medical partnerships on the ground before the earthquakes occurred, allowing an immediate response.
Thanks to donor support, Healing Venezuela has already:
✅ Delivered more than 20,000 units of medicines and medical supplies.
✅ Provided over 2,000 direct medical consultations.
✅ Donated portable ultrasound equipment for rapid diagnosis and triage.
✅ Supported hospitals, emergency shelters and frontline healthcare workers.
✅ Distributed food, clean water and hygiene products to affected communities.
✅ Established partnerships with emergency responders and medical institutions.
However, the emergency is far from over.
As global attention begins to move elsewhere, thousands of people in Venezuela continue to need medical care, medicines, rehabilitation and long-term support to rebuild their lives.
Through our DDC Cares fundraising campaign, including our cake sales and sponsored Jurassic Coast walk, we hope to raise funds that will directly support Healing Venezuela's ongoing humanitarian response.
