We’re Walking the Edinburgh Kiltwalk! 💙

This September, we’ll be taking part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise funds for a cause that means so much to us and the community we support. Our charity is based in North Lanarkshire, supporting Deaf people with their communication needs and working to break down barriers Deaf individuals face everyday. We want to improve access, inclusion and opportunities, while also helping to build stronger connections between Deaf and hearing people.

We are now working towards a really exciting goal — moving into a new building that will be owned by the Deaf community and become a welcoming space for both Deaf and hearing communities to come together. We want it to be much more than just a building. We want to create a community where people can meet, connect, learn from each other and feel welcome. A place where communication barriers are broken down, Deaf culture and BSL are valued, and Deaf and hearing people can build better understanding and stronger relationships.

By taking part in the Kiltwalk, we hope to raise funds to help make this vision a reality. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us move closer to having a permanent home in North Lanarkshire and creating something that can benefit the community for years to come.

We are incredibly grateful for every donation, share and bit of encouragement we receive. Your support really does make a difference.

Every step we take is a step closer to our new home and closing those barriers.
