Story
February this year, we lost Dad far earlier than anyone ever should. His final weeks were spent at St Catherine’s Hospice, where the team showed him — and us — incredible care, compassion, and dignity. They supported us through the darkest moments and gave Dad comfort, peace, and even smiles when we least expected them.
Just a few months later, we also lost my uncle Duncan, my dad’s brother, to Motor Neurone Disease. Two huge losses in such a short time has changed our family forever — and reminded us how important places like St Catherine’s truly are.
So my fiancée Rach and I are taking on HYROX in January to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice as our way of giving back. They rely heavily on donations to continue supporting families when life hits its hardest.
If you can spare anything — even the smallest amount — it will help families to get the same care and comfort that meant so much to us.
This is for Dad. This is for Dunk.
Thank you so much for your support.
St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through our specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. We're here to help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run our charity every single year. We rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help us raise the funds we need. Thank you!
