At First Choice Cleaning NI, our motto is “Cleaner Spaces. Brighter Futures.” — and that means more to us than simply providing a cleaning service.

We’re raising money for Carnmoney Foodbank because we believe local businesses should play a part in supporting the communities they serve. Food banks provide vital support to people and families going through difficult circumstances, and we want to do our part to help.

But this fundraiser is also connected to the bigger vision behind First Choice Cleaning NI.

We’re not just a cleaning business.

We’re looking to build relationships with local food banks and community organisations so that, where we can, we can offer small amounts of paid work to local people who need an opportunity, whether that’s two hours a week, four hours a week, or whatever work is available.

Sometimes a few hours of paid work can make a real difference by putting a little extra money in someone’s pocket while giving them work experience, confidence and a sense of purpose.

As the business develops, our aim is to build partnerships with food banks, the Simon Community, local councils, the Housing Executive and other organisations to create genuine second chances and pathways into employment.

Our longer-term vision is a six-month paid employment and development programme for people rebuilding their lives. This could include practical work opportunities, qualifications such as CSR, Essential Skills and First Aid, personal development, and a structured savings programme — helping participants build towards having the savings for a deposit and first month’s rent and eventually moving into their own home.

We’re also developing the education and training side of the business, with further qualifications planned as we grow.

So yes, we are a cleaning company, but we’re building something bigger than cleaning.

This fundraiser is one small step towards that bigger vision: supporting people, supporting local organisations, creating opportunities and helping build brighter futures.
