Running for Robin – Help Me Make Every Step Count.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
This June, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and taking part in the Sutton Coldfield Run Fun 2025. But this isn’t just another race. I’m running with a purpose, and a heavy heart — in loving memory of my uncle, Robin, who we lost suddenly last year to a heart attack.
Robin wasn’t just an uncle. He was the kind of person who made life brighter for everyone around him. A laugh that filled a room. A smile that always meant something. A man who gave his time and energy to help others — often through his own fundraising.
Losing him so unexpectedly left a hole in our lives that can never be filled. It’s a reminder of just how fragile the human heart really is. That’s why I’ve chosen to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, a charity that fights every day to stop heart disease from stealing the people we love.
The money you donate will go directly to life-saving research:
Into preventing heart attacks and strokes before they happen.
Into understanding the conditions that too often go unnoticed.
Into treatments that can extend lives and improve quality of life for others.
So I need your help.
Please consider donating — however big or small. Your support means more than you can imagine. You’re not just helping me cross a finish line — you’re helping fund breakthroughs that could stop another family from going through the heartbreak we’ve felt this past year.
Let’s do this together. For Robin. For everyone we’ve lost too soon. For every heartbeat that still has a chance.
With heartfelt thanks,
Dean.

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
