I have somehow agreed to try and drag my old body around the 13 miles of the Reading Half Marathon at the end of March. However, in doing this half marathon, I will also be looking to raise money for the Winchester Basics Bank.

Winchester Basics Bank (WBB) provides emergency food, hygiene products and clothing to people in the city and the surrounding areas. Additionally, during the school holiday periods, the WBB supplies food to families who normally get free school meals during term time.

The WBB has seen demand for foodbank services rise significantly over the last few years and supplied over 8,500 weeks' worth of food to adults and children in 2024.
