Story
🏃♂️ Running the London Marathon for Action for Children 🏃♀️
I’m running the London Marathon to raise money for Action for Children, a charity that supports vulnerable children and young people across the UK.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart as I was fostered from the age of 7, and through my own experience, I know just how important it is for a child to have a stable, caring, and supportive family. Having people who believe in you and provide consistency can completely change the direction of a child’s life.
Thanks to the support of charities such as Action for Children, and being fortunate enough to be placed with a loving foster family, I was given the stability, care, and opportunities that every child deserves. That support has played a huge part in allowing me to build a positive future and become the person I am today.
Action for Children works to make sure children and young people get that support — whether through family help, fostering services, or emotional and practical care during difficult times. Their work helps give children safety, stability, and hope for the future.
🏅 The challenge
Running 26.2 miles through London will be one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever taken on, but knowing I’m running for a cause so close to my heart will push me through every mile.
