Over the last seven years, myself and Dee have thrown ourselves into all sorts of challenges, ultra marathon, marathons, half marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks. This year, we wanted to push ourselves in a completely different way. So, we’ve signed up for 10 Y Fan climbing Pen y Fan ten times in 24 hours, the equivalent height of Mount Everest, starting at 6pm on Saturday 9 May.

We’re taking on this challenge to raise money for Holibobs, a Children’s Cancer Charity that gives families facing childhood cancer the chance to spend precious time together through short breaks and holidays.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia, everything changes. Many families suddenly face financial strain, often because one parent has to stop working to care for their child. This means that the opportunity to get away, rest, and make memories together becomes incredibly difficult right at the moment they need it most. Holibobs steps in to lift that burden, giving families the gift of time together without the stress or cost of organising a holiday.
