The open water swim offers the incredible opportunity to swim around the Statue of Liberty herself.

After many years working in education, we have both recently retired and decided this next chapter of our lives should be about embracing new challenges and continuing to support others.

So we’ve signed up for an incredible challenge – swimming in an iconic location to raise money for Velindre.

This cause is deeply personal to us. We have both lost our mums to cancer, and we know how important compassionate care is for patients and their families during the most difficult times.

With the support and encouragement of Verve Health Group we have also managed to lose a combined 18 stone : 114 kgs in weight. That journey has given us the confidence to take on this challenge – something we would never have imagined doing before.

Now we’re asking for your help.
