The Pied Piper Appeal raises money to make a difference to sick and disabled children in Gloucestershire by funding the Children's Centre at GRH, supporting SEND schools, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and improving experiences with mental health facilities.

Story

Julie and Bernard Kent have dedicated their lives to helping other children with cancer, after losing their own daughter Emily, who bravely battled a brain tumour. Together, we’re aiming to raise £500,000 to bring a superhero psychologist to the Emily Kent Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Emily's Gift is raising funds for a 10-year position for a psychologist, offering crucial support when it's needed most. A psychologist can provide vital emotional support for these children and their families during and after treatment. Over 30 children are currently receiving cancer treatment at the Emily Kent Unit and they deserve all the strength, laughter, and hope a dedicated psychologist can bring.

Here's where you come in! ✨ I'm tackling the monstrous Grizzly Run – 9 miles of sweat, tears (hopefully not!), and enough elevation to make your calves sing opera. With over 3,000ft of ascent, treacherous bogs, and cliffside climbs, it's a test of physical and mental strength. As a runner of 3 miles, just a few times per week, this is going to really push me to my limits! Donate to my JustGiving page and be a part of something extraordinary. Every penny counts in creating a brighter future for children facing cancer. Please share and spread the word about Emily's Gift. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these families.
