Deb and Grace fundraiser for Nelson's Journey

Nelson's Journey Abseil · 15 March 2025 ·
As many of you will know Nelson’s Journey supported Grace following the death of her daddy in March 2014 when she was just three years old.
Nelson’s Journey offered help, support and guidance to allow Grace to come to terms with her loss and help her find a way to move forward. Grace still misses her daddy very much but has strategies to deal with the sad days and she knows it is ok to be happy and to live her life.
Once Grace was old enough, she and I began volunteering for Nelson’s Journey to give something back and have supported many fundraising activities.
Grace has spoken about her loss at large Nelson Journey events to help raise awareness and encourage donations and her ability to share something so emotional is testament to the journey she has been on and remarkable for someone who is still only 14 years old.
As part of our support we have both agreed to join the Nelson’s Journey abseiling challenge on the 15th March 2025 where we will abseil down a local iconic building, the Forum. Slightly concerning Grace has a fear of heights, but what a great way to over come this!
For those that are new to Nelson‘s Journey they are a small charity supporting children and young people in Norfolk who have experienced the death of a significant person. Since 1997, Nelson’s Journey has helped thousands of bereaved children and young people in the county.
Thank you for reading our story and if you are able to make a donation we would be very grateful. Thank you again Deb & Grace xx
