Story
This is my next charity challenge! On 26th October, I will walking barefoot across hot coals! The embers will be glowing red-hot with the temperature around 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit.
I am passionate about the Hospice I work for and feel proud that I can contribute to the outstanding care our patients receive from all the amazing staff and volunteers. I was nervous about working in a Hospice environment, but there was no need. It is such a positive and inspiring place, made possible by the generosity of our fundraisers. It takes £10 million to provide that excellent care each year and only a third of that cost is covered by funding from the NHS.
If you are able to contribute to this marvellous organisation, it would be greatly appreciated.
This is how your contribution could help:
£76 could pay for 1 hour of our Advice and Referrals team
£300 could pay for visits to a patient in their own home by our community nurses
£676 could pay for 24 hours of hospice care for a patient at the end of their life
