Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running this half marathon to raise funds for the amazing Horatios Garden at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.

I work for Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors and our fabulous Personal Injury team helps clients rebuild their life following serious injury and has worked closely with the hospitals spinal injuries unit for many years. Lanyon Bowdler have supported Horatios Garden since its inception in 2018

The garden gives patients a wonderful outdoor sanctuary, assisting in their rehabilitation and nurturing their wellbeing after spinal injury. It is named after Horatio Chapple, who died in 2011 when his camp was attacked by a bear during a school expedition to Svalbard in the Arctic.

When offered a place to support this local charity I happily accepted the challenge to raise funds and support them in any way I could. I may have run a number of half marathons in the past however, the training never gets easier and involves a lot of time commitment, early mornings and dedication to ensure fitness and free from injuries so it is ALWAYS a challenge.
