Story
I am running 26.2 miles in April in honour of my 2nd born daughter Nevaeh who was sadly stillborn 3rd April 2019 due to a severe congenital heart defect called hypoplastic right heart syndrome and VACTERL association. I made Nevaeh 1 promise the day she was born, and that is to run a marathon in her honour. I saw this challenge and knew I had to do it as its a marathon in the month she was born. I will still run a marathon race soon (in one go) for charity, but this one will help build me up to it after i broke my ankle in 2020 and help raise awareness and show support to a wonderful chairty.
I will be running in honour of my baby Nevaeh, my friends angel baby's and all the babies/ children who no longer are with us. We will never forget them.
Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
We depend on the amazing energies of our supporters to raise the vital funds that we need to deliver the wide range of services that we offer. #TeamSands
