My seven year old granddaughter Arabella is training for a 5km to support the Dogs Trust. I said I would challenge her and fundraise too to support Just for Dogs.

We have adopted our last two dogs from Just for Dogs and presently have Ellie. She is a 10 year old GS cross, a beautiful soul, who has had a terrible life and has suffered broken teeth, ripped ears and a broken leg.

I too have a broken leg, so have set a challenge to walk 15 times a distance of 5km before the end of May. As Ellie can't walk that far , I shall be joined by my walking friends.

Just for Dogs was founded in August 1997 by a handful of like-minded people who simply wanted to rescue and re-home abandoned dogs. Founder members agreed that they would not get into any politics, rules or regulations and therefore it was decided there would be no long list of committee members drawing up endless policies.
