At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi, I'm Debbie, the eldest daughter of Gordon Stewart. My dad was a loving father, husband, and grandfather, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Our family is uniting to raise £1000 for Alzheimer's research in his honour, and we need your help to make a difference.

Gordon, or Dad as we affectionately call him, was 85 years young. He was married to our wonderful mother, Norma Stewart, and together, they have three children - myself, Diane, and Paul - and a number of adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We are determined to honour Dad's legacy by raising £1000 to help advance Alzheimer's research. To help us reach our goal, we're hosting a charity evening on September 9th, 2023, at the Stork Hotel in Birkenhead. The evening's lineup features live music, raffle prizes, bingo, charity waxing, delicious food, and a free drink. Entry is just £5, and all proceeds will go towards Alzheimer's research.

With your support, we can contribute to finding a cure and better treatment options for others facing this devastating disease. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's.

Please join us in supporting Alzheimer's research by donating to our Just Giving page and attending our charity evening. Together, we can make a real impact and give hope to countless families who are going through the same heartache we are experiencing.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Debbie and the Stewart Family
