Diana's Memorial Donations for Friends of Sawbridgeworth Neuro Centres

Debbie Humphries is raising money for Friends of Sawbridgeworth Neuro Centres
In memory of Diana Combridge
Our Friends group raises funds to provide "nice to have" items which the NHS cannot provide for residents of a home for adults and young persons with severe brain injuries. Most have mobility issues and are in wheelchairs. All have complex needs which not only affect them but also their families.

Story

Our dear mother, Diana, suffered a stroke in 2020 and was moved to The Jacobs Neurological Centre, on the first floor in Sawbridgeworth. It was here that she was cared for by an incredible team of carers and nurses.

Whenever we visited Mum, we would take her into the woods to feed the birds and enjoy peaceful moments together. The woodland became our haven during almost every visit even in the snow.

What we didn't realise at first was that there was a dedicated team of volunteers, The Friends of Sawbo, who work tirelessly to raise funds and maintain the woodland area. They also organise concerts for the residents and support gardening activities for everyone to enjoy.

Without this wonderful charity, our family would not have cherished our time at The Jacobs Centre in quite the same way.

We would like to thank every one of the volunteers for everything they do. If you are able to make a donation in memory of our beloved mother, Diana, we know she would be delighted to support the place where she found such comfort and sanctuary.

Thank you on behalf of Diana's family. X
